As seasons come to change, we change along with them. Sometimes, the best times, are when we become more encouraged and determined to achieve way beyond what we had last season.
Personally, this new season for me has brought a very important and delicate mission. I am embarking on a new journey: my senior year. To me, it’s more than just wanting to graduate to go to college. I want to leave my footprints behind for future students to see because I have only one shot to shoot for the stars. I want to make a difference here and do big things.
From where I’m standing, it looks like it is going to be a year full of anxiety, exhaustion, and doubts. The ball is already in motion. I am attending school regularly during the week and on the weekends I am attending an online science program. I also have a part-time job as a magazine editor and writer which I love. But everything is happening so quickly; I’m a little overwhelmed. However, I know that as much as we whine about all the responsibilities we have, they are still opportunities to improve ourselves. And how would we grow without our endless challenges?
I think what I’m trying to say is, don’t get caught up in worrying about the future and if you are making an impact on the world. It is so easy to lose the time we have by dwelling on the past or the future. Let this season not just be a school experience for you, but make the most out of it while you still have it in your hand. Enjoy the moment you are in. Things look a little differently, but there are still things that we will miss later on in life. Let us finish this season strong because in the end we will only reap what we sow. Let us not allow this season to change us for the worst; we will thrive out of our hardships.
